We have not previously mentioned it, but Cardinal Mooney was fortunate enough to be offered an art dual enrollment opportunity on campus. Every saturday morning to afternoon Kendall College of Art and Design offers a Drawing 1 class at the school. We have nine very talented students who will be receiving general ed art credit in college for this class. The class was offered at a discounted rate and in exchange for dropping their normal day art class. They focus solely on still life drawing and many major principles of drawing. The class lasts for 6 hours and the students have their normal art periods in the week to work on their drawings. Next fall the Kendall class being offered will be 2D design. This class is not exclusive to art students but anyone with an interest in the class and receiving credit before the even step on a college campus.
