This week is the final week for all senior students. They are finishing up their final work to be turned in on Friday. For Mrs. Lazar, this leaves her with nearly only Art 1 classes and very limited number of Art 2 students. Art one will finish the year working on self portraits and completing their final drawing exam. Art 2 is also working on portraits but with a more difficult medium, oil paint. As for the blog, this will be our final post for the 2015/2016 school year. CMC is excited for the coming art next year!

This past Saturday we were informed about the Congressional Art Show. CMC senior Katie Lensmeyer received third place with a photo from her concentration for AP Art. Speaking of AP Art, our hard-working students' portfolios are due this coming Friday, May 6th. They are all just about finished and are feeling very relieved to have some relaxation. Congratulations girls! We can't wait for results in July.
