This and That....

Here are some various Digital Art projects that are really interesting! This really shows their amazing talent in digital manipulation!

Oil Painting

The Art 2 students are finishing up their oil paintings of candy.  The project focuses on how light reflects or transmits through candy and their wrappers.  The Art 2 students are incredibly talented and have been working successfully on these pieces. Check them out!

Portraits!

Art 1 students have been working on drawing and adding color to create a portrait. Each student was given half of a celebrities face and they had to mirror the other half. They accomplished this by using the new techniques Mrs. Lazar taught them during class. 

Contour Drawing

Art 1 has been practicing contour drawings, which is when the artist does not pick up their pencils while drawing a subject and sometimes without looking at their paper. This project consisted of them drawing their neighbor, and once they were finished they covered up their lines with yarn. The yarn gave the final project a very interesting effect. 

Hands!

Art 2 Students have done hand drawings where they depict hands in different gestures. Some students challenged themselves by drawing the hands as bones or having the hands in distorted positions. Also  a lot of the students focused on sign language and their hands are a saying or a word. On top of the difficult subject the students also had to shade the hands. By the end of this project all of the students had a series of hands that they made original.

Figure Drawing

The Art 1 students are working on figure drawing. First the students started working on drawing a still figure and now they are working on drawing their classmates in the figure drawing style. They do this by the desks are in a circle and one of the students are in the middle doing a pose for a certain amount of time while the other students are drawing that pose. 

Digital Art - Branding

The digital art class has finished their design branding projects. The students had to create a new design for a new Starbucks coffee, The Komodo Dragon Blend. Each student had to be creative and unique while using several different templates to put their design on. One template was the car, flag banner, light post banner, light cabinet banner, yellow card banner, and the drive thru sign.
